I am lucky to have florist friends and access to beautiful secondhand/dried flowers. I was given two Trader Joe's bags filled with lots of flowers and eucalyptus leaves.

I cut up a large secondhand cotton bed sheet into neck scarf sized squares and then arranged the flowers and leaves on the fabric. I rolled them up and wrapped the outside in twine and let the bundles rest in a steam basket over a pot boiling water with the lid on for 1-2 hours. Then I let them rest and dry for about 8 hours, clipped the twine and enjoyed the natural beauty that is flowers on fabric!

I'm excited to make more bundle dyed scarves and experiment with how the colors can change with pre mordanting the fabric.
