I have struggled with the concept of sustainably and ethically made goods as being available only to those who can afford to choose to pay 'more' to spare our environment and quality of life for manufacturers. I want to be inclusive and encourage sustainable practices for everyone, wherever they’re at financially (as much as I can). A couple of pieces that discuss this really well are this piece by Elizabeth Suzann (goddess) and this interview on Magnifeco Radio with Moriah Carlson
I am a huge believer in owning fewer items and spending more on pricier, thoughtfully & ethically made pieces. Despite this, I know that my products may be out of reach for those who really appreciate an item made with care and will last years to come. I’ve decided to offer a selection of pieces on a sliding scale of prices for a limited time - pay what you can between $50-$80. If you’ve been thinking of purchasing but it’s a bit out of your budget, here’s your opportunity.
Thanks again to everyone who has supported A Wool Story and continued to prove that sustainably and ethically made goods are what people care about and want to own.
Below are the items available in the sliding scale pricing. Click the 'purchase' button to enter a price you would like to pay. Today, January 9th through Wednesday January 11th.
